Yes, let us tell you that today i.e. on 13th August, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is going to transfer the crop insurance amount of Rs. 3200 crore to 30 lakh farmer beneficiaries across the country through digital medium under PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
Know how many crores will be transferred to which state
According to the official information we have received, the farmers of Madhya Pradesh will receive ₹1156 crore as crop insurance amount and the farmers of Rajasthan will receive ₹1121 crore as crop insurance amount.
Apart from this, 150 crore rupees will be transferred to the farmers of Chhattisgarh and 773 crore rupees to the farmers of other states by the Prime Minister today. The Prime Minister is going to transfer this money today through DBT.
12% penalty will be levied for delay in subsidy contribution
Here we want to tell you that Agriculture Minister Chauhan Ji has said that in the interest of farmers, a new and easy claim settlement system has been implemented by the Central Government. Under this, there is no need to wait for the premium contribution of the state, it is being estimated that proportional payment of claims will be possible only on the basis of central subsidy.
It has been made clear by them that from Kharif 2025, if any state government delays subsidy contribution, then a penalty of 12% interest will be imposed on them. And similarly, Bhati Company will also have to pay 12% interest in case of delay in payment.
Benefits given so far under the scheme
First of all, let me tell you that PM Fasal Bima Yojana was started in the year 2016. Since its inception, insurance claims worth Rs 1.83 lakh crore have been settled under this Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
The special thing we want to tell you is that in return, only ₹35864 crore premium has been deposited by the farmers. Now let us tell you that under this scheme, farmers are given financial security in case of natural disasters, crop loss and uncertain weather.
